George Lucas brought Star Wars here
The views across the top of the canopy of the jungle were shot atop
the Tikal structures. The vistas are quite spectacular and worth the
climb. From these heights one can easily see the changes in flora and
fauna: the birds that fly above the canopy like eagles and parrots and
the birds below like the toucans which buzz around within the trees.
Since the creatures of the forest are protected here, they get up
close and personal. Watch out for the fir de lance, that ill
tempered and deadly pit viper who gets pissed if you step on him. But
then Rick says that about himself. |
